Following in Jesus' footsteps

 In a nutshell..... 

Obedience takes a lot of self will, but we can  help this along by loving Jesus so deeply we dont want to hurt him by doing something against his will. How do we love more? Spend more time alone with him and use our sanctified imagination to see him sitting with us, holding our hand and listening closely to our thoughts. Look for his counsel using the Bible or a random message from the Heartdwellers website.

Jesus says: 

 Your obedience to me is everything. The part you play play, even moment by moment, is determined by me because you have given your life to me. I know how to get you into the right place at the right time for the most fruit to be harvested for the Kingdom. Therefore, all that is needed is your obedience and Grace will do the rest. But you cannot be obedient if you are not listening to me very carefully. Listening is one thing, listening very carefully is quite another. As you spend more time with me your ability to hear and be aware of what I want from you from moment-to-moment becomes highly tuned. In this way you will bear most fruit for the Kingdom. Those who are in love with me, whose hearts melt when they see my face, hear a love song and long to give me more of their lives, these souls are the most threatening to the kingdom of darkness. Intimacy is the key to the greatest works in my kingdom. If you sat behind a desk and taught eschatology, you would be far less threatening. Know that your greatest enemy is your self will and your greatest protection is humility, which always leans towards obedience.
