 In a nutshell...

The hardest question to answer anyone who is looking for God is ' Why is there so much suffering in the world if God is supposed to be loving and merciful?' Mother Clare's messages offer a unique and revelatory angle on the soul's decision to accept suffering in a fallen world in order to bring more people to the Kingdom of God. They are doing a great work and are loved by God beyond measure. Truly, a life changing revelation to comfort the most desperate and crushed spirit wracked with pain and anguish. The message to sufferers is 'Take heart! The Lord sees you and will never let you carry more than you can bear'. 

Jesus says:

The world tells you all kinds of lies, especially the lie of the pain free happy life. There is no such thing. Each person, whether you see it or not, is carrying a cross. If they are not with me, knowing me and my word, they do not see the purpose of the suffering, rather they perceive it as a punishment. Nothing could be further from the truth. Suffering teaches a soul to focus on what really matters. All the frivolity of life dims in comparison to the health and happiness of the one who is afflicted. But in the midst of that is the greatest gift you can give. When you are sick and suffering, life is draining out of you, and I capture that life and bless others with it. If you have given your life to me without any reservations, you will experience this kind of intense suffering. When I spoke of the abundant life, I was not speaking of the abundance of things in the world. I was speaking of the abundance of my presence and the joy of living in me. You see, when I told you to deny yourself, pick up your cross and follow me, I gave you the mandate of having to own unique cross. It could be the inconvenience of a car breaking down, the denial of a loan, false accusation at work, a cancelled holiday. Or it could be the sickness of a loved one or a pet. Anything that causes you to abandon your will for the love of another can be a cause for suffering but through it maturity and brotherly love is forged. 

Many have you of you have suffered in order for souls to return to me. Your efforts have borne much fruit for the Kingdom of God. My heart weeps with gladness at your efforts, the fragrance is a sweet as my finest wines. For my heart has often been battered and my labour's scorned, and your efforts come as sweet consolation during a painful time.
